Subscribers can participate in PDF reviews for easier collaboration.
Set the Identity Information
By default, Foxit PDF Reader Mobile will use the name of the log-in account (or the prefix of the email address if you have not yet set the user name of your Foxit Account) as the annotation author name when you've logged into your Foxit Account. If you are not logged into your Foxit Account, you can follow the steps below to set your identity information in order to help other review participants recognize your comments.
- Tap
to open the Tool Selector; - Tap
; - Tap Identity information under the Shared Review group;
- Input the information, and tap OK.
Tip: If the annotation identity is not set ahead of time, Foxit PDF Reader Mobile will prompt you to set it when you open a shared review document with Foxit PDF Reader Mobile. If you do not want to use the name of your log-in account as the annotation author name while logged in, you can go to Settings> PDF Annotation, and slide the Default author is user name of Foxit ID toggle to OFF.
Join Shared Review
Foxit PDF Reader Mobile allows you to join a shared review initiated by Foxit PhantomPDF Business based on a shared network folder. While participating in a shared review session, you can share comments, read and reply to comments from other review participants, or send back the feedback and comments to the initiator via a shared server.
To join a shared review:
- Download the PDF file from your email application, and open it with Foxit PDF Reader Mobile;
- Complete your identity information if you haven't set it before;
- Input the username and password, and then tap OK to connect to the server;
- Select the comment tool to add comments in the PDF file;
- To check for new comment from other reviewers, tap
; - To view the comments from other reviewers, tap
; - To reply to the comments from other reviewer, tap the comment, and choose Reply from the pop-up menu.
- Upon completion, tap
to publish your comments and feedback.
Tips:
- Foxit PDF Reader Mobile only supports to participate in shared reviews initiated by Foxit PhantomPDF Business based on Windows network servers that support SMB2 (Windows Server 2007, Windows Vista, and newer). The review participants should have the permission to read and write in the network shared folder. Otherwise, they cannot participate in the shared review.
- You can review the PDF file offline. However, in the offline mode, you can only add comments. If you need to publish your comment, you need to tap
to connect to the server.
Join Email-based Review
In an Email-based Review, you can make comments and send back the reviewed PDF file via email.
To join an email-based review:
- Download the PDF file from your email application, and open it with Foxit PDF Reader Mobile;
- Complete your identity information if you haven't set it before;
- Select the comment tool to add comments in the PDF file;
- Upon completion, tap
to send the reviewed PDF file by email.
If you are the initiator or one of the email-based review participants, you can merge the comments into the master PDF file when you receive the comment PDF file. Steps are as follows:
- Open the commented PDF file with Foxit PDF Reader Mobile;
- In the Merge Comments dialog box, tap OK to merge the comments directly, or tap No, open this copy only to merge the comments later;
- If you choose to merge the comment later, tap
in the document pane when needed.
Track your PDF Reviews
- Tap to open the Tool Selector;
- Tap ;
- Tap Tracker under the Shared Review group;
- Tap the PDF review in the list to track the detailed information.
To remove a PDF review from the tracker:
- Tap Edit on the upper right corner in Tracker pane;
- Select the PDF review;
- Tap
