Create and Export PDF Files

Foxit PDF Reader Mobile allows subscribers to create PDFs and export PDFs to other file formats with ease.

Create a Blank PDF File

You can create a blank PDF file with specified page size, color, background style, and orientation. Steps are as follows:

• Tap to open the Tool Selector;
• Tap Documents, and choose ;
• Tap New PDF;
• Specify the following options as desired in the pop-up window:
  • (If necessary) Rename the file in the File name field;
  • The page background is set as blank by default. Swipe left or right in the background style selection area to change the background, if necessary.
  • Tap Page Count to specify the number of pages that you want to create;
  • Tap Page Size to select a page size;
  • Tap Page Color to select a background color for the PDF file;
  • Tap Orientation to specify the page orientation: Portrait or Landscape;
• Tap OK.

The created PDF file will be opened in Foxit PDF Reader Mobile automatically. If needed, you can use the Typewriter tool to add text in the blank PDF file.

Create a PDF File from Multiple PDF Files

You can combine and merge multiple PDF files in to a single one. Steps are as follows:

• Tap to open the Tool Selector;
• Tap Documents, and choose ;
• Choose Merge PDFs;
• Tap to select the documents that you want to merge, and tap to confirm your selection. After selection, you can also tap to delete the unwanted one, if necessary.
• Tap the title at the top of the pop-up window to rename the file, if necessary.
• Tap.

The selected documents will be combined as a single PDF file and listed in the Create PDF folder under the Documents tab. If necessary, you can organize the PDF file, including deleting unwanted pages, moving individual page to anywhere you want, and more. Please refer to "Organize PDF Pages" for details.

Create a PDF File from Other Formats

You can create PDF files from Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, TXT, image files, and HTML from within Foxit PDF Reader Mobile.

• Tap to open the Tool Selector;
• Tap Documents, and choose ;
• To convert a Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, TXT, HTML (*.html, *.htm), or image file to PDF, follow the steps below:
  • Tap File to PDF;
  • Select a file from local file folder or tap Gallery to select a photo from your photo album;
  • Tap .
• To convert a webpage (URL) to PDF, follow the steps below:
  • Tap Web to PDF;
  • Input the URL in the location bar, and tap Go to open the webpage;
  • Tap Convert in the toolbar;
  • Specify the file name, and then click OK.

  Tip: While converting webpages which require login, Foxit PDF Reader Mobile can only convert the login page to PDF.

Upon completion, Foxit PDF Reader Mobile will list the converted PDF file in the Create PDF folder under the Documents tab. If you want to save it as a copy in other directory or share it with others, please refer to Save PDF File as a Copy and Share the PDF File.

Export a PDF File to Other Formats

You can convert and export a PDF file to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TXT, image, or HTML file.

When the PDF file is not opened:

• Tap to open the Tool Selector;
• Tap Export PDF;
• Tap Select File to select a file from your local disk, and tap ;
• Choose the export format, specify the file name, and tap Export PDF.

When the PDF file is opened:

• On the document pane, tap on the toolbar on the top;
• Select Export PDF ;
• Choose the export format, specify the file name, and tap Export PDF.

The converted file will be displayed in the Recently Exported Files list. You can tap the file to open it with the supported application in your device.
