Failed to download Foxit OCR plug-in

Description: When I try to update the OCR plugin via “Check for Updates” under Help menu, it always gives an error as shown in the following message:

Download failed. There may be a problem with the server. Please try again later.

Failed to download Foxit OCR plug-in

Cause: The root cause is still under analyzing. Before you applying the workaround below, please take a moment to collect some information which is helpful for further troubleshooting, and email to support or submit a ticket at this portal.

1. What's your exact procedure to download the OCR plugin? 
2. Please open your Registry Editor,  go to one of the following registries, right click on "Foxit Information", choose Export to save it as a file and send it to us. 
For 32bit system type
 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Foxit Software\\Foxit PhantomPDF\\Foxit Information
For 64bit system type
 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Foxit Software\\Foxit PhantomPDF\\Foxit Information

Note: To check the system type, right click on "My Computer" icon on your desktop, select "Properties" where your operation system information is exhibited. 


Workaround: Here is a quick workaround for the time being:

1.       Remove the current existing PhantomPDF.

2.       Click here to download and install an appropriate full package installer file.

After installation, use the original license code to activate the program.
